It has been said by some, if not by many, that I have an opinion about everything. Ironically, I have an opinion about that as well. The answer is: Yes, I generally do have an opinion about most things. What better place than a blog to put those opinions down officially.
What is "The Meat Factor Blog"? Well you are going to get a lot of poker stuff and you are going to get a lot of sports related stuff as well. There will be some real life things sprinkled in here and there, but you'll see mostly poker and sports. Occasionally I'll hit on the politics thing, but not often.
My best friend points out that often times I see things too much in black and white and do not allow for the possibility of any gray area. I believe that to an extent he is correct. While I think that people in general shy away from making black and white judgments out of politeness I feel that he has a point that in many situations there remains some form of uncertainty. I am going to try to do better job of allowing for that in future opinions and blogs.
To all those who may choose to read my blog who I play poker with. It is possible you will be mentioned, it is possible I will mention about you playing a hand poorly or differently than I would have played it. The goal here is not to embarrass or to gloat about my good play, but rather to point out interesting hands. I have been very consistent through the years. I have always enjoyed trying to help other players get better at poker. If by mentioning a hand I played against you makes you stop for 10 seconds and at least consider how the hand was played, than I feel like I have done something good.
